Have you ever heard the saying, “once you start a renovation in one room, it only leads to more renovations?” That saying is without a doubt true, especially in our home. It’s kind of like when you paint one room, the rest of the rooms in the house look old and dated. Once we finished our kitchen renovation last fall, we quickly realized that the foyer sliding doors were in need of being replaced. The sliding doors were over 50 years old and needless to say, they were pretty ratty. One of the doors didn’t work, the sun over the years faded the outside panels and last winter, the snow began drifting inside. You may remember that we partnered with Masonite Doors last fall and shared with you their new gorgeous VistaGrande patio door. When Masonite asked if we would like a set or two for our home, we jumped at the chance. I mean, how can you pass up these gorgeous doors?
Here is our foyer before. When I took these pictures, we were using the foyer as storage from the kitchen renovation. I am so glad that kitchen project is done!
As you can see, they are pretty old and we noticed a couple years ago the snow blowing in between the cracks so these doors were in need of being replaced.
The new VistaGrande doors came nicely packaged and delivered by these handsome fella’s from Horner Millwork.
They were not sure what to make of my grandfather. He was in a mood that day. -ha.
