Today I am sharing 20 Cabin Christmas Bedroom Ideas for a Cozy Sleep for my son’s bedroom. The room was inspired by a piece of Scottish Highland cattle artwork I found at Homegoods and it was perfect for above my sons bed. You may remember from a couple years ago, this room was my office but we decided to move my office to the 3rd floor loft space and now this space is our walk in closet.

Cozy Christmas Bedroom
Once I found the artwork I decided to coordinate the bedding around the colors of the cattle.
To get the cabin Christmas theme, try mixing rustic woods, brown plaids and outdoor elements together.
I found the nature inspired brown plaid bedding last season at Homegoods and it matched perfectly. It was a comforter set and matching shams for under $60.
I have linked two sets below that are very similar!
Christmas bedroom decor
We bought the bedroom set when we first moved into this house from a local furniture store and my son actually picked it.
He loves the outdoors and loves to ski so the rustic lodge furniture was the perfect design.
The industrial styled lamps are also from Homegoods and were a steel for $24 each.
I love the idea of mixing metal and wood to create modern rustic feel.
The mini floating black shelves were part of a shelf collection that I also got from HomeGoods and I decided to add an additional layer of height on either side of the bed with the mini Christmas trees.
When you are creating a focal wall, try to create varying heights using different objects.
You can see that the lamps, headboard and wall art all create different heights and the addition of the shelves ties everything in nicely.

I used the faux fur throw pillows to layer different textures on the bed and create a cohesive look.

The sheets were a purchase from a couple years ago. I liked the “plaid on plaid” look so I decided to keep them as part of the makeover. I feel like the navy sheets bring out the dark grays in the artwork.

The faux fur throw was a random find at HomeGoods a week or so after I bought the bedding. It stopped me in my tracks as it literally was the same color scheme as the brown plaid bedding. Isn’t it beautiful? My son loves his nature inspired Christmas bedroom and his response was, “Is this a blog project?” 😉

Thank you Beth!!
Fabulous job! It is wonderful that it looks so grown up and professionally done, you are amazing Jessica. This reminds me of the “Parade of Homes” tour we have here in Columbus. Oh, how wonderful it must be to have a balcony off his bedroom? I don’t blame he for wanting to be around everyone else, because he is used to being close to his family. I am anxiously waiting to see what you do for Thanksgiving and the rest of Christmas. TFS and abundant blessings. Sending Cyber Hugs All
Thank you !!! I am a little behind this year for Christmas but hoping to get the trees out this week!
That is adorable!
Hey Katie!!! Thank you!!
It turned out great! That’s funny that you said he’ll regret not wanting his bedroom on a separate floor when he’s in high school! Also, that your son asked if it was for a blog project! That bedding set being under $60 is a nice price!
Thank you Brenda!!! Yes the bedding was a steel!
Love the cattle artwork! Love those lamps! The colors work great together. Consider me officially inspired. ????????????
