Decorating your home for the fall season doesn’t have to be complicated – there are plenty of easy ideas that will instantly add a festive touch! From incorporating natural elements like pumpkins and dried leaves to creating a cozy atmosphere with candles and throw blankets, these simple decorating tips will help you transform your space into an autumn oasis.
Let’s take a look at a handful of spaces in our home that feature beautiful fall decor ideas in our living room, dining room, kitchen and front door.
Fall Door Decorating
Our fall front porch portico area is decorated in classic autumn colors and symbols. The columns are adorned with corn stalks, while mums, pumpkins and a pumpkin door wreath provide a warm, inviting atmosphere.
A fall wreath with pumpkins on the front door says, hello Fall! The orange and yellow of the pumpkins create a warm contrast against the cream door.
Mums and Dried Grass Planters
Fill planters with mums and dried flowers to create a rustic natural look.
Here is a more simple version of our front door where I left the Summer fern and mixed in Fall plants, pumpkins and decor.
A combination of mums and greens along with mini pumpkins help create a welcoming entrance for early Fall.
Living Room Fall Decor Ideas
The chocolate brown wreath feather wreath was a score at Homegoods and coordinated beautifully with the blue green walls and the beige linen light filtering drapes.
I mixed knit, cotton and leather pillows in orange, brown and cream to create a cohesive look on the sectional.
The wall color is RainWashed by Sherwin-Williams and I love how the browns and orange pillows look in contrast with the blue wall color.
Stacked pumpkins always look so cool!
Fall Dining Room
A mix of Fall flowers help tie in the Harvest dishware in the hutch.
I love the rustic woodland creatures from HomeGoods. They are adorable!
My hutch was handed down from my grandparents and my grandfather just about died when I painted it white. BUT I love how the white paint kind of modernized the piece. I wasn’t loving the brown stain so nothing that a couple coats of paint won’t fix :).
Kitchen Fall Decor Ideas
Decorating your kitchen can be as simple as switch out hand towels, rugs, oven mitts, place mats, and other kitchen accessories with warm fall colors like mustard yellow, burnt orange, or deep red.
