Today I am sharing simple red Christmas living room decor ideas that are classic and timeless. Our Christmas living room from last year featured red berries galore from the wreath to the Christmas tree!
I personally love mixing red and white Christmas decorations on throughout the living room creating a cohesive holiday look.
Red & White Christmas Decorations

Add Garland Throughout Living Room
If you have a fireplace mantel or shelf in your living room, start by adding garland and red Christmas picks for a pop of color.
I used faux garland this one (if you prefer a farmhouse garland try this one) and these berry picks.
I used garland with berry picks on the coffee table and around the floor lantern to carry out the garland theme in the room.

Hang White Stockings
Whether you are hanging stockings on a mantel or a shelf, mixing white cable knit Christmas stockings is a great way to add texture to your living room.
The red and white contrast is beautiful and offers a luxurious feel.
I used white marble tree stocking hangers and mixed in white knit Christmas trees on the mantel to tie in the red and white theme.
You can find similar knit stockings here on my Amazon Storefront.
Red Berry Wreath
A Christmas berry wreath is the perfect addition to a red Christmas living room.
I hung our wreath (like this one) with crafting wire and attached it to a mirror on the mantel. Another option is to use a wreath on your coffee table with candle globes in the center.
The mirror is from Homegoods but this one is similar remains a staple in our living room and it the perfect backdrop for seasonal wreaths. The drapes can be found here.
Red Christmas Tree Decorations
A red and gold Christmas tree is classic and elegant and while I didn’t add any gold ornaments to this tree, the pre lit Christmas tree lights give off a gold shine.
I scattered red berry picks throughout the tree, added red cardinal ornaments (like these), red plaid ball ornaments and topped with a homemade red ribbon bow.
Simple, classic and elegant!
The Christmas tree is a flocked tree (click through this post, how to decorate a flocked tree to see it decorated this year in gold) and coordinates beautifully with red and white Christmas tree decorations.
Christmas tree decorating tip:
Large oversized ornaments (like these assorted sizes) are a cheap way to fill in the gaps! Place the large ornament balls towards the inside of the tree to hide any open spaces.
The red tree picks and red Christmas truck ornaments were also new purchases this year. Red truck Christmas decor is very popular right now and so cute!
How Can I Make My Living Room Look Christmassy?
The easiest way to make your living room look Christmassy is to scatter a handful of Christmas pillows in coordinating colors and textures on your sofa.
I used red fur, red plaid and a red vintage truck throw pillows to tie in with the red Christmas decor.
A white cable knit throw coordinates with the white knit Christmas stockings hanging on the mantel.
