This weekend I realized that it is time to transition our Summer pots over to Fall. I usually just purchase some mums, but I have seen so many beautiful arrangements this year that I think I may up my game a little bit. I thought I would share a few of my favorite fall planter ideas that I found and I hope you’ll find some inspiration, too!
Let’s see those gorgeous fall planters…
This trio of pots featured on Sunset is brimming with color. The centerpiece of the middle container is ‘Platt’s Black’, which is a 3- to 4-foot-tall New Zealand flax. Its long, deep burgundy leaves pair beautifully with the daisies and ‘Profusion Orange’ zinnias. ‘Plum Delight’ spills from two of the pots, leaving a full display.
I love this front porch display from Craftberry Bush. She used kale as the focal point and then filled in with mums, gourds and a pumpkin. For height, she used grass, twigs and she even threw in some berries from the Dollar Tree. How smart is that?
This pumpkin from The Butlers has been a favorite of mine for a few years now. They show you how to monogram this gorgeous pumpkin, but I love how they styled it. It is sitting on an orange berry wreath and surrounded by pumpkins, gourds and some mums in the back. This is a great choice for those just taking their first dive into container gardening.
Laura Trevey uses flowering cabbage to be the star of this fall planter. I love the tall grass in the back and the bits of color on the sides and underneath. This is so pretty!
I found this gem by Rikki Snyder Photography that was featured on Homebunch. Who knew that just placing several small mums together with make for such a brilliant display. I need to find a pot like that one and make this for myself!
I love these different colors of coleus all in one planter. They are always a showstopper and Creative Home Expressions showed us how to do it right!
This idea found on Houzz is one of my favorites. I just adore that yellow pot and the height of the grass. There is just enough color in the arrangement to not overpower that gorgeous planter.
This pumpkin topiary by EAB Designs is just fabulous. It actually looks pretty simple to put together, too!
Momcrieff showed off this galvanized tub filled to the brim with fall goodness, I love that she added a bit of hydrangea in there. So pretty!
These baskets with the monochromatic tone of purple from Moments of Inspiration are gorgeous. The pinecones are the perfect touch, too!
This urn by Simply Southern Flowers is just brimming with fall leaves, berries, and a bit of tall grass for height. I love it.
If you love mums like I do, these fall mums in Olive Buckets from On Sutton Place are just perfection!
Of course we can’t forget our Fall Pumpkin Planter. This one was a blast to make, too!
