The bathroom linen closet was skinny and deep leaving items to be lost in the way back of the closet forever!
My solution was to fasten a seagrass magazine holder to the side of the vanity near the toilet.
I wanted to incorporate the color brown and the seagrass/sisal texture on the magazine holder and basket coordinated perfectly!
I used a level and marked two holes with a pencil on the vanity for my nail holes.
The level ensured my hanging magazine holder would be straight and two small finish nails worked perfect.
I tapped the nails into to the vanity leaving about 1/2 ” on the surface, just enough for the magazine holder to rest on.
As you can see, my DIY toilet paper holder with storage in 60 seconds is an easy and quick solution.
Toilet Paper Storage Ideas
There are several toilet paper storage ideas out there ranging from wood toilet paper holders, hanging apple crate toilet paper storage holders, burlap twine toilet paper holders and pretty floating shelves with industrial pipe holders to name a few.
I personally didn’t have time to make a holder myself so the inexpensive basket options suited my needs.
The DIY toilet paper holder for my small bathroom somehow has been pinned on pinterest over a million times so go figure, I guess everyone likes the idea of hanging a basket on the side of a vanity and utilizing the toilet tank cover for additional toilet paper storage.
My baskets are both a few years old and from HomeGoods.
Here are a few magazine baskets that I found over on Amazon in case you want to give this a try for yourself!
If you don’t want to see the toilet paper, this woven basket would work.
This rattan basket from Target is the cutest by Studio Mcgee and would look so cute holding toilet paper.
To get an industrial look, you could use a wire magazine basket.
Not only does this toilet paper holder with storage eliminate a traditional 1 roll toilet paper fixture, but it provides storage for multiple rolls and it looks pretty too!
