Today we are sharing a DIY PVC Fence Enclosure to Hide a Dumpster. Our post and beam barn has had some minor cosmetic work since my parents and I bought the house a couple years ago but nothing too major. Stay tuned, because Jim is about to makeover this barn to create a ton of storage and I am hoping to give the outside a complete makeover as well.

Here is the post and beam barn once we excavated and removed the brush and dead trees surrounding the barn.

Here is the barn after we added the batten pieces to help keep the rain and snow out of the barn.

We removed the original barn doors and beefed them up a bit as the snow was really doing a number on them. We added a new track for them to slide on (they still need handles) and they are so much easier to open and close.

The dumpster is going to the left side of the barn so Jim is adding a PVC white fence with a double swing gate to hide the dumpster.

He had a couple loads of rock gravel delivered so he could create a flat space for for the dumpster and he plans to grade out a rock driveway to access the dumpster area.

We originally wanted a brown PVC fence but they were on backorder and we needed something sooner rather than later. I love the nutmeg color! It needs another coat or two but you can see how great it’s looking.

They dug the holes and set the PVC fence posts in cement. They used a string to ensure that the post all lined up straight with each other and a level to make sure the posts were level.

Once the posts were set, they attached the fence to the posts. The double swing doors look great and will allow plenty of room for the dumpster to be delivered and removed easily.

The White PVC Fencing and posts are from Home Depot and it’s the perfect DIY vinyl dumpster enclosure . You can get the vinyl fencing here and the pvc fence posts here.

The black heavy duty fence pulls (we got size large) and hinges are also from Home Depot.

Our lawn is complete toast :(. It was beautiful in the beginning of the summer but the lack of rain has completely destroyed it.
