This time of year is so much fun to peruse the internet looking at all of the gorgeous Christmas home tours and beautiful inspiration. Today I wanted to share our playroom / study where we decided a rustic red Christmas theme would be cute.

I originally planned on putting it on top of the mantel and removing the mirror but after looking at it leaning against the mirror for a few days, I decided to try and hang it from the molding under the mantel.

I used tiny finish nails and just tapped them in until they were secure. Then I hung the sign right on top of the nails. So simple!

We decided to put a real tree in this room and decorate it with the homemade ornaments from years past.

Some of my favorite ornaments are from when the kids were little and they made special gift ornaments for Christmas. So cute!

I remember when I bought this Santa sleigh almost 10 years ago in a tiny shop on vacation. I filled a basket full of greens and placed the sleigh inside. Kind of cute, right?
