A fun family picture wall gallery is a great way to decorate around a tv. I have always wanted to create a family picture wall gallery but never seemed to have the time to print the pictures, find frames and get them hung up. This wall gallery was created at our old house and I am hoping to create one this Spring at our current house.
I decided to use mirror wire and just fastened the wire to the back of the wall frame hooks. Instead of measuring exactly where the hooks needed to be, I simply used the mirror wire to create a hanger. Not only is wire hanger a time saver, it’s less stressful for girls like me who have no patience to measure exactly where the hooks need to be.
Here was the wall before.
I love how the TV is now not the focal point of the wall. TV’s are always so tough to decorate around and creating a picture wall gallery is the perfect solution to “tone down” the TV.
Tip: Use an eraser sponge (like magic eraser) to help get rid of any pencil or scuff marks while hanging the framed wall art.
With modern technology, it’s so easy to snap pictures with your phone and capture just about every second of every day. My mom and I were actually talking the other day about how so many of our pictures never get printed though and just live on our phones or in our computer.

I love the family wall gallery and now the black frames tie in with the black tv. I feel like the tv blends better and isn’t so prominent.
For this project, I used CVS One Hour Photo (I have used Walmart One-Hour photo too in the past) and in under 10 minutes, I had created an account and selected my pictures to be processed.
Tip: If you have something like a doorbell cover on your wall, try painting the cover the same color as your wall.
This room has had many looks over the past few years, it has gone from a playroom, to a reading room, to my makeshift office and now, back to another tv room.
Tip: If your framed pictures tend to move or are not staying in place once hung, use double sided stickies. This will help keep the frame in place.
Creating a picture wall can be a great way to display seasonal family pictures, pet memories or simply a collage or your favorite moments. I plan on creating another fun family picture wall gallery in our family room that is currently under-going a makeover. Stay tuned, we partnered with Shaw Flooring and the new hardwoods are looking amazing!
Disclosure: I was compensated by HomeGoods to create this family picture wall and was given gift cards to complete the project. All opinions and words are 100% my own. I think the wall gallery is pretty fabulous ;).

Love the blue leather chair, as well!
You had a blog about covering an old patio with Resolve but my husband looked in both Lowe’s and Home Depot for it and they do not have it. Any other suggestions?
Hi, it was called Restore and I am not sure if they still sell it? We bought it at Home Depot about 4 years ago 🙂
