We have a special treat for you today! Have you ever wished that there was a quick and easy way to fill your reusable water bottle when out and about doing errands? I do! One thing I wish the kids had access to at school is a clean, hygienic way to get water during the school hours. I send my son to school every day with a water bottle but lets face it, it’s usually warm after an hour and it doesn’t last all day. Thankfully, our school believes in having water accessible at all times for the kids. I love the idea that they are allowed to bring water bottles to school. A couple weeks ago, we were asked by Elkay if we would like to review their ezH2O bottle filling station. The system allows users to fill up their reusable water bottles in an efficient and hygienic way thanks to the hands-free and rapid filling technology. This system creates a healthy way to stay hydrated and is cost effective. Lets face it, water is free and buying bottled water can definitely add up over time.
OH MY GOODNESS, all of our schools need this in my opinion.
This system is also a great alternative to soda, juice and other high sugar drinks at school all while preventing plastics (from water and soda bottles) from entering the environment. Sounds like a win win to me. My grandmother wants to know if we could install this in our house. I laughed and said, “I’m not sure about that.” haha. She loves all these new technological advances and products. I have to remind myself that both my grandparents grew up in the depression and have seen so many changes and advances in the world in their 85+ years of living. It’s really amazing if you think about how the world has changed since they were kids.
Check out this cool 20 second video that I found on the Elkay Youtube channel featuring how the filling station works.
Why is this system so healthy? It has a very cool feature called laminar flow. Laminar flow means the water stream is absent of any water bubbles leaving no room for bacteria to enter the water stream. Plus, the electronic sensor provides hand-free sanitary operation with an automatic 20-second shut-off timer. The visual filter monitor gives users peace of mind that the water they are consuming is as clean as possible. The ezH2o unit also fills your bottle 3x as fast as a standard bubbler. So what do you say, would you like to nominate your school for a chance to win one of these stations? I double nominate mine!
