Cut the Crap!! No more bloating and down 7 lbs {fitness week 5 and 6}

Let me first start by saying, I am so surprised at myself. I really cannot believe I (ME!) have stuck with a nutritional program for 6+ weeks and more importantly, walk/jog 2-3 miles 5x a week. (See week 1 , week 2, week 3 , week 4 ) Now for some of you who are health finatics and exercise born humans that live breath and die by a workout, this will sound a little pathetic to you. I am happy to say that my baby step approach to a more healthy eating life style and exercise has landed me with no more bloating and down 7 lbs. No joke. *I have included affiliate links for Nordstrom and Wayfair in case something sparks your interest.
I snapped this picture this morning before I headed out for a walk with my mom, yep my mom joined in!!

I don’t know about you but the last 11 years since gaining 65 lbs during pregnancy and then hitting 40 years old, my metabolism changed and life as a string bean, junk food junkie never gain a pound girl who laughed at exercise ….. left town and never came back. That girl was gone. The new me internally struggled with extra weight, bad eating habits and it kind of ran me over. I mean don’t get me wrong, I looked fine on the outside but never felt good on the inside.

I think a lot of it was my brain. I had no energy and no motivation to do anything. This went on for the last 11 years off and on. I have always had 10 things going on at once and I always have appeared to have a ton of energy but you know what, I pushed through and lots of times, I was aggravated inside.
SIDE NOTE: Follow me on Instagram Stories and watch every morning and all day as I share real life in real time.

Aggravated that I would sit up at night and eat a bag of chips and 5 cookie snack packs that were the kids. Oh and don’t forget the glass of wine. -ha. For me, I love to get on my laptop around 9:30pm after the house is quiet, have a glass of wine and just eat crappy food. I was always able to do it before so why couldn’t I do it now?

My stomach would be so bloated every morning and every morning I would tell myself I need to exercise but never did. I hated exercise. No more bloating alone is a gift that I am so happy to have. I am so thankful for the shakes that I crave and the nutritional program that literally has cut my cravings in half. It’s amazing what happens to your body when you fuel it with good stuff! Who experiences binge eating at night and has the bloat issue? PS. the BIG Nordstrom Anniversary sale starts soon so be sure to do your shopping from here and check My Favorites page for new items. I mean, who the heck wants to pay full price? Not me!

Meet Jessica
What started as a hobby, Jessica’s blog now has millions of people visit yearly and while many of the projects and posts look and sound perfect, life hasn’t always been easy. Read Jessica’s story and how overcoming death, divorce and dementia was one of her biggest life lessons to date.
Wow, you look great! Good for you for sticking with it! It’s definitely easier to start exercising and changing your eating habits gradually, rather than trying to do it all at once. You’re more likely to stick with it if it’s not so hard to do.
Thank you so much! Yes! I work good with baby steps 🙂
Would you share program you are using? Congratulations on your progress and insight.
Just messaged you a bunch of info!! Let me know if you didn’t get it 🙂
I messaged you some links!
You go girl! That is amazing. You’re inspiring this lazy person to give it a whirl with exercise and better eating habits.
Thank you!
what is the program you are using?
Hi Suzie, I can email you some info as my comments don’t allow for links . Sending now 🙂
You are truly an inspiration Jessica !!!! I need to do this ASAP !! I’m so tired of the bloating and feeling crappy, maybe your program can help me too !! Could you share with me as well ??? You look fabulous !!!
I sure can and thanks for your sweet comment 😉 I can send you some links on email as google will mark them as spam here.
I love posts like this and I’m very happy for you. Congratulations. But to be honest, this feels kinda spammy. You won’t give details on the diet program you using and then most of the stuff you linked to isn’t actually what your wearing.
So sorry you feel that way 😉 Many of my readers like similar items when mine have sold out or are old (hence the get the look and similar notations). I get a ton of trolls on my site who leave comments based on keywords they find as google crawls my site so unfortunately I don’t mention brands or diet or any other info as it just attracts lots of comments I need to moderate. Sorry to have made you feel like I was spamming you 🙂
You are doing great! Got to say I’m a little generous. I am stuck.
Curious about your protein shake, what is your recipe? Also would love to hear some of your meal suggestions. Always curious what others eat in the real world when changing their eating habits. Also how to plan meals aroun family meals? Thanks!
You look great! I would love some information on what you are doing if you would mind sharing.
Wow! You look great! Wishing you all the best and continued success. Have a “Happy Fourth to everyone”.
Jessica, I am so happy I stumbled
On your Instagram story tonight! You are 100% describing me! I turned 40 last year…and 41 last week???? and have for the first time in my life struggled with my weight! Can you please share with me your plan…esp the nutrition as I am a fellow junk food, sweetaholic, kid food eating mom! Thanks and you look wonderful!!
Hi Norah! Isn’t it crazy how when we hit our 40’s, our metabolism seems to run away! -ha. I am SHOCKED at how many people have reached out saying my story is their story. I have a ton of stuff I will email you and links to share as my comment section doesn’t allow for links and only a specific amount of characters so watch for my email in a bit 🙂 Glad you found my IG story!
I would like to know what you are doing as well. You look great!!
Good for you, great work. I totally am at that point, I will start tomorrow!! Don’t know where to begin to get out of the funk? Any suggestions? Thank you and you look great!

Would love some info on the plan you are following. You are looking great.
I would also like to know all the details about the program you are doing, exercise, nutrition, shakes. I didn’t have any problems until I hit my 50’s and this is driving me crazy! Anxiously awaiting all that you have to share!
Hi Raylene!!! I will send you some info to your email!!
The before you sounds just like me! I’ve tried so many times and so many programs. Can you please share your program with me? Good luck and you look GREAT!
Hi Jessica,
Can you send me more info on your food plan. I like you am in my 40’s seeking weight loss, increased energy, and solid nutrition. I am worried that this plan is filling and you are not hungry during the day. That’s my downfall.
Thank you,
Natalie
Hi Natalie! I emailed you some info. Did you get it?
