Oh it’s Monday. Monday is always a drag for us, getting motivated it tough! Although, my grandfather was up at 4am and left for work! That man never sleeps! We have been busy painting our master bedroom and it’s coming along nicely! Last week I shared, “the day my husband came home to no bed” and today, it’s looking more blue! If you read last weeks post, you know the room was red and cream.
I am loving navy blue these days so we decided the blue would be fabulous for the master bedroom. We were a little hesitant (me mostly) to put a deep navy on the wall but I figured, what’s the worst thing that can happen, I hate it? That is the beauty of paint, if you don’t like it, just paint over it! My mom watched as we painted and now she wants one of her rooms this color ;).
I decided to change things up a bit from the tradition of painting below the chair rail a color. I love the idea of painting the chair rail white and the main part of the wall a color. Do you like it flip flopped?
These pictures were snapped with my phone so they are not the best but you can see, the navy is gorgeous paired with a bright white.
Our blue master bedroom makeover is coming along and I can’t wait to get the new furniture and rug in the room. Out with the old and in with the new! This makeover has been a long time coming and while it still is a far cry from finished, it’s making progress. Stay tuned, more paint updates coming soon.

Ooh, that looks lovely! Can’t wait to see it all finished now.
Love the navy! Navy is my dream bedroom color!!
Jessica, I love your new walls! I have always been a big fan of blue and white (dishes, kitchens, bedrooms, clothing!) so your new look resonates with me. It looks so crisp and clean and inviting. I look forward to seeing the finished room!
