Last Saturday night my niece slept over so all the kids decided that making Valentine’s Day cookies would be a fun Saturday night project. So I headed to the store and picked up a bunch of cookie making supplies. I decided to buy pre-mixed cookie mix to save time. If you are looking for something fun to do with a group of kids, this is it.
Decorating Valentine’s Day cookies:
I know, this looks like a shout out to Betty Crocker but it’s not, our local market just happened to have all kinds of fun Betty Crocker Valentine’s Day cookie supplies.
My grandparents were so happy, they couldn’t wait to eat the cookies. Although, they were not impressed when I told them they couldn’t eat some of them as I needed to take pictures for the blog post the next day. -ha.
One of the best things about our new kitchen, is this island. It’s perfect for just about anything. Whether we are baking, setting up a buffet or eating dinner, this island is so functional.
A Saturday night making a mess in the kitchen and decorating Valentine’s Day cookies proved to be a fun time had by all.

I picked up a few cute Valentine’s Day treat bags when I was at HomeGoods and they fit the cookies perfectly. Cute little treat bags are perfect too if you have an upcoming school Valentine’s Day party as well. Kids always love getting treat bags filled with sweets. Heck, we adults do too! I am sure many of you have a child or two that would love to make Valentine’s Day cookies this weekend so head to your local market and grab some supplies, Valentines Day will be here soon.

Wow! Great job’ looks like a lot of fun you all had!
Those cookies turned out great! It looks like everyone had fun making them too. I really enjoy my island for family cooking events too. That’s funny about waiting to eat some cookies so you can take pictures for the blog. I’ve told my family the same thing before and they think I’m crazy.
Isn’t that funny how the blog takes over sometimes. haha. THanks so much for stopping by!
