Looking for a healthy smoothie to start your day off? Try this strawberry smoothie with honeydew, almond milk and plain greet yogurt. My grandfather wasn’t a fan because it wasn’t sweet enough. I told him sweet equals not healthy. His response, “I am 85 years old, I eat and drink what I want and I like sweet!”
I prefer the unsweetened almond milk but the sweetened version definitely adds a bit more flavor. Although, it’s higher in calories and sugar. I have found for me, the higher sugar content seems to be what bothers my stomach. Sugar content is usually comprised of high fructose or some other sweetener. High fructose is considered high fodmap so the fructose is likely the culprit.
