Slouchy Jean Shirt and Leggings under $40

Loving my slouchy jean shirt and leggings under $40. I am working on decluttering my wardrobe and cleaning out my closet. I found things that either don’t fit (I somehow gained 7 lbs since last Fall…..more on that later) or things that are so worn out, they need to be tossed. One of my favorite outfits revolve around these comfortable leggings I got last Fall at Nordstrom (and they are STILL IN STOCK!). 

My mom has a similar pair and we love them because they are high waisted and do a good job sucking your body in. Something happened to my body after I had my son and turned 40. The stomach and butt just don’t cooperate like they use to. It seems like everything I eat, sticks to those areas. I need to get my butt in gear and start exercising but I am not a fan of the gym or in-house gyms. More on that another day.

I wear these leggings with everything from a dressy shirt and booties to a sweatshirt and sneakers. You can’t beat the price and quality. Last week I shared these Friday Favorite Sales and amazingly, the pillows were marked down even more. I have the pumpkin one from Pottery Barn that arrived earlier this week and now I just need to photograph it in our living room. I didn’t join a Fall Home Tour this year as life seems to have gotten away from me. It takes a full day , sometimes more to photograph rooms and honestly, I didn’t get my act together soon enough to join a tour. Happy weekend and if you feel like you need a wardrobe change, add a pair or two of high waisted leggings. Whether you buy these or another pair, they are a great staple for your wardrobe and can be worn with so many different tops. Just be sure they are good quality (like these), cheap leggings tend to fade, look pilly and loose their shape after a few washes.
