Many of you know, we moved into our Mediterranean home about 45 days ago. The home was an Old World style Italian Home and our plan is to create more of a casual Rustic Modern home with hints of Tuscan.

Our Spring Grand Foyer Decorating Ideas – HomeGoods Furnishings & Rugs
All of the furnishings and rug are from HomeGoods. The oversized large cabinet happens to be my favorite find this year at Homegoods and if you follow us on Instagram, you may have seen the story where I just about died when I found it. It was a happy moment. Not only was it large in scale it was on clearance for under $300. I will share more of the cabinet and the amazing storage inside later on.
Just for kicks, here is the Foyer as we were moving in and last week before we finally pulled it together for todays post.

Slowly but surely this space will transform. We plan to swap out the wall scones, add two additional chairs and side table.

The pair of chairs were also an amazing find that I found earlier this year before we moved. One thing about HomeGoods, if you see something you love (never mind a pair of chairs), you need to grab them before someone else does. These chairs are so comfortable and we love how they look in our new home.

I decided to introduce a soft neutral blue and off white rug with hints of beige. This space poses a bit of a challenge as it’s large and the ceilings are 30′ high. I have never had such a large foyer before so figuring out how to use the space most effectively took some planning. Ultimately, we decided that a seating area to enjoy the view of the backyard made the most sense. Personally, I think every foyer large or small, should have some sort of a seating option. Even if it’s a bench or a stool.

For Spring, I love the idea of introducing fresh or faux greenery and pastel colors. The striped gray throw and blush colored throw pillows added the perfect balance of soft neutral Spring colors.

I am still on the hunt for an artwork piece for the blank wall and a few more decorative accents. This house is a completely different style than our previous home so we are essentially starting from scratch.

My favorite Home Goods find was a beautiful “farmhouse” dresser , the corners were kind of beat up so it was on clearance for under 200$ . I had my 2 kids with me and there was no way it woudl fit in my car. So I called a friend (who lived close by) to take my kids home ! The guys fit that dresser in my PRIUS. Lol the workers were looking at me like I was crazy but when you find something you love , you get it before someone else does lol

Beautiful before and after picks! The first time I shopped at HomeGoods I found a lot of treasures. But what I loved the most was a ceramic, blue and white umbrella stand. It was on clearance for $12!! I still love it.

My favorite find at Home Goods was a large ceramic pitcher that I use for fresh flowers and the canvas bins I use with my entertainment center.
My most wonderful find was a rustic 4’ tall cross with a clock in the center. I adore the piece and everyone who sees it does as well. Amazingly beautiful!
Wow, that’s hard to say. Everytime I visit a Home Goods I come home with a treasure. My latest purchase was for my daughter. She is moving to New Hampshire and I have begun the search to outfit her apartment. Some of my favorites include my purple bedding, snowflake plates to add to my collection, gold Christmas items for my dining room table, baskets, bins, decorative boxes, picture frames, lamps. I may not purchase large items, but I bring home the small stuff.
My favorite find (so far) was years ago: a white ceramic bunny planter. He is currently holding some spring flowers in my dining room to celebrate Spring.

I adore Home Goods! I have so many great finds from there…I think my favorite is a pink beaded elephant that I kept my eye of for weeks then snatched it up when it went on clearance!
A sparkly round drum chandelier for my sewing room for only $10.00!! Sure it’s a couple of crystals but you can’t tell unless you look very closely. It’s such a treat to work under this gem!
My favorite find is the giant clock I bought to fill a large wall in my home office. It is PERFECTION!
My favorite find was a farmhouse style piece with sliding barn door on one half and drawers on the other half. Matched the sliding barn doors that we have in the finished basement. We are using it as an entertainment center. It’s perfect! And we actually were just looking for a rug that day lol
I love all of my Home Goods pieces, but I happen to have the same coffee table in my living room that you just revealed in your space! I hope you love yours as much as I love mine! It is my most recent fave item and you can never beat the prices at Home Goods! It is truly my happy place!

Choosing a favorite is hard! I guess I’ll say my rustic black tray with some faux name of a French business on the side. It’s a favorite because I use it as décor year-round.

My favorite homegoods find was very recent . I am accessorizing a bedroom for my college bound son and am turning his teen room into a space for a young man. I found a beautiful mid century style grey leather chair with a small sid3 table & floor lamp. The chair is my fav homegoods find!
Hi! I love Homegoods and go there at least once a week, esp now that I just bought a house! I use every excuse with my husband to go there! Lol!
One of my best finds ever in Homegoods was a recent purchase of an area rug!!! It was originally marked for $400 but I was able to get it for $200 on clearance!! It’s a very large gray rug with accents of white! I have been looking everywhere for a rug that went well with my living room and theme! Not only was this the perfect rug but I got it for such a great deal!
Such a beautiful transformation for Spring- I love it! My favorite piece I have ever found at HomeGoods is a white Victorian styled mirror which is absolutely gorgeous! It is in my entry way and I can’t tell you how many comments I have gotten on it!

My favorite find was a 9’x11′ off white/grey rug at the HomeGoods in Wareham. I fit it in the back of my Camry!

My whole house is a Home Goods house! So hard to decide my favorite piece. The large oversized wall clock, the two water color paintings of a male & a female Blue Heron ( I actually yelled out in happiness when I say them), the large painting of a Blue Hydrangea. Oh and lamps, and more lamps! LOL

My favorite find was a chandelier made of ceramic airplanes (the chubby cute kind) that I took apart and made a lamp and 2 wall sconces for my son’s room. Adorable! They matched his wallpaper from Osborne and Little perfectly!
Can you believe I have NEVER stepped a foot inside a Home Goods store!? I lived in a place in California where there was neither a Home Goods, nor IKEA anywhere nearby. Recently, however, I have moved to Tacoma !!have just discovered there are no less than SIX Home Goods stores within an easy travel distance!! I can’t wait!!!! It will be even better if I were to win $100, right? By the way, I absolutely LOVE your home. All those windows!! Simply gorgeous! Can’t wait to see it all finished.

I LOVE Home Goods! You never know what treasures you will find. I have yet to purchase furniture or a large rug but I have bought dishes, pots and pans, dog bed, etc. I know many of the workers by name I am in there so often.

My favorite Home Goods find? How could I pick just one!! I think one of my best scores was a HUGE glass vase – about 48″ tall – that looks like sea glass and was marked down to $15. I have it filled with branches in my dining room and I love it so much.

My favorite is a recent oversized ottoman in a modern, kilim/tribal sort of print. We love it! I placed a hold on it to go shop the rest of the store and one of the people working there tracked me down saying someone called & wanted to buy it so they were making sure I was taking it. I always find something (usually many things!) at Home Goods. Most recently I got Easter baskets and lots of fun stuff to fill the baskets with.

Home Goods just recently opened a store in our town. We went in a few days after they opened to look around. Whoa! The store was so STUFFED with “home goods” that I could barely get down the aisles. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. It was horrible and I haven’t been back. But, I’d be willing to give it another try.
I love Home Goods! I have bought all my Christmas presents from there and everyone is happy! I bought a cute organizer for the boys bathroom recently and it has been a life changer.

My favorite Homegoods find was a Lilac Duvet Color I purchased for my daughter’s bedroom years ago. It’s still going!
We found the perfect sofa table at Homegoods. It didn’t really fit into our car, but rolling the windows down with one set of legs sticking out worked. Couldn’t pass it up! Thank you for the inspirational tour (it is so nice to see someone else taking their time to finish a space) and opportunity.
My very favorite Homegoods find was a coral bedspread with seashells stitched into it for my daughter’s by-the-sea bedroom. So perfect!

My favorite find was a stand up jewelry armoire for my daughter – we saw it earlier in the day, for $129.00. We went home to get my larger car to bring it home and when we got to the store to actually buy it, the key that had been in the lock earlier was missing! So we got it for $100.00! It is just a skeleton key, so it will be easily replaced.

I’ve never purchased any big items from Home Goods, simply because I haven’t been in the market for any, but I always find little goodies that I love! My favorites are the cake plates that I picked up last year for my daughters baby shower. They are just too cute and perfect for displaying goodies!!

I have Sooooh many favorite finds at Home Goods but the most recent were vinyl upholstered counter stools with tufted backs and seats tat are deep and comfortable. I was thrilled because they are a charcoal/grey and PERFECT for my kitchen. I was so glad to replace the little metal stools I had and I thank Home Goods every time I sit on my new ones.

I have only been to Home Goods one time because it is so far from me but I love the store! My favorite find was a large hinged basket with a leather strap. I can’t wait for my next trip.
I love so many things from HomeGoods! We don’t have one in our city, but when ever I see one when we’re traveling my husband & I love to stop! One of my favorite things we found was a rocking, swiveling recliner & we found a lambs wool throw to put on it to make it even more comfy, The funny story was we had our little Minicooper, but we didn’t want to miss out on the recliner, so we stuffed it in somehow! We had our seats pulled way up & we had a 80 mile drive home. It was worth it though! Luckily my husband goes along with my ideas!

I found a great oversized square antique looking clock for my office, colors and styling matched the old style of the office.
Situated between 2 windows it finished off the backdrop for the desk area!

Your home is beautiful! I absolutely love HomeGoods/TJmaxx. One of my favorite recent finds was a mirror jewelry box for my dresser. I was looking for something to organize my makeup and fragrances better but I didn’t know what exactly it was that I wanted when I saw the jewelry box. It’s perfect!

Visiting HomeGoods has been a favorite way to spend time for many years. My home would not be what it is today without all my happy finds at HomeGoods sprinkled in with furnishings old and new, collectables, cherished heirlooms, and practical items used daily. I love all my HomeGoods purchases!

I just ADORE Homegoods. I actually bought about half of my needs when I got married from Homegoods. Too many favorites! But if I had to pick something, it would be the copper colander. Definitely one of my favorite things 🙂
I always like checking out the geodes and crystals at HomeGoods. I found a really nifty blue geode bookend that I use as decor at my desk. I also found a bit of fake lavender (also desk decor) that a coworker once genuinely thought was real!
Favorite home goods find was gluten free snacks for a good price for a friend bday.
When we bought our home we noticed that the large covered patio in the back had two “S” hooks in the ceiling where a porch swing once hung, so we bought a porch swing for it. I envisioned that we would use it all the time, but our kids use it more than my wife and I.

My favorite find was my Arch mirror from Home Goods! Its our center piece of the house it gets lots of compliments.
My favorite Home Goods find is a canvas print, it is a beach scene with a bicycle complete with a basket and blanket. It hangs in the entry way of our home at the beach. Love seeing the transformation of your new home.

I found a beautiful white buffet from Home Goods that is my favorite piece of all time!
I ALWAYS find great items at HomeGoods, but my absolute favorite find is a canvas picture that says”It’s Okay to LOVE your SHOES more than People!” Odd favorite being that I have found furniture, beautiful toss pillows gallore, a plethora of big ticket perfectinion items at super great prices… but me and all my shoes, all hundreds that I own, felt this picture was just… ME(I love people too, haha) and it just makes me smile every day!

I found a huge storage ottoman that was perfect with our new couch. Even better was that it had a minor flaw (that I was able to fix with glue) and so I got it even cheaper!

My favorite Home Goods find is a beautiful gold wall mirror that I hung above my mantel! I love Home Goods.
My favorite find from Home Goods (gosh I love that store), and I have many, but this one means so much to me, because I am French, so this little green metal wheeled cart with one drawer and one shelf is in my Sewing Room, so I see it every day. On the top there is a large bumble bee and it says “PARIS” No. 8, Rue du Vieux” .

We are so lucky! Our Home Goods is easily within walking distance from our newly renovated ADA accessible inherited home. My parents lived here for 30 years, then we all lived together like your family. My parents lived well into their 90’s and now it is me, my wheelchair bound husband, and my sister. Whenever people visit with lots of astonishment, I tell them “I’m in the visiting Home Goods everyday stage.” It’s like having a decorator down the street. I pick out things, bring them home to see how they work and then so easily return and exchange them, until it works perfectly for our home and all of us. We live within one mile of the Pacific Ocean, so coastal is our natural habitat and style. So many favorites, but I truly love all our beautiful glass lamps, sparkling in the sun.
We got our dining room rug at HomeGoods! It was reasonably priced and works so well in that room with the wall coloring and our furniture!
I love HomeGoods! I bought an 8 inch white cake plate that I seem to use all the time…and not just for cakes! It anchors and elevates items for tablescaping. Love that a Home goods opened in my hometown!
It’s hard to pick one favorite. I’d have to say my cabinet painted with coastal colors. I’ve gotten several compliments on it.
I have never gone wrong with ANYTHING from Homegoods. I can’t pass buy one without stopping! (Just like Costco!!). My very favorite though is a large, round, silver coffee table tray that has antlers. I load it with greens and whit candles at Christmas and it is a stunner! People take pictures of it when they visit! I trade it out for another very similar tray from Homegoods that is rattan/wicker and filled with books and shells for the summer. I LOVE HOMEGOODS!
My favorite find (so far! ) in HomeGoods was when I was casually walking down an aisle and saw several random pieces of my china! I was so surprised and excited I actually squealed – out loud and embarrassingly. Fortunately those around me quickly understood my enthusiasm and it was all fun.
My favorite find was a jelly cabinet years ago. It has moved from Boston, MA to Charlottesville, VA and transitioned seamlessly. The pebbled glass front keeps it stylish and it has easily transitioned as our decor has changed.
A favorite find at HomeGoods was a set of textured golden bowls.. So reasonably priced & stylish!!
My favorites were two matching twin quilts in pink, black and white for my granddaughters beds.

My favorite Homegoods find is our entertainment center – it’s a beautiful mid century styled piece with brass accents – a real showstopper! Plus it needed some small repairs so we got it for a steal ????

My fav find from HomeGoods was last Christmas. It was a little red Christmasy truck with a pretty green Christmas tree in the back. It is soooo cute! And thanks for a fun giveaway!
I love HomeGoods! I find something there almost everytime! My favorite though has to be my two mermaid candle holders. They are a cream color and I actually painted the scales on them and I just love them. I love mermaids and they show up here and there in my home. Although, I make sure they are understated and not kitschy! Love your home and your patio styling!
My favorite find ever at Home Goods was white curtains for my living room. It really brightened the space.
I love the mirror I got for my foyer as well as lots of small items like pillows.
My favorite find was an outdoor grill shaped like a huge cow. I gave it to my son-in-law for Father’s Day and he loved it. As for me, I burst out laughing every time I see it.
