DIY Kitchen Renovation Series {cabinets being delivered} Renovating a 1960's kitchen

The kitchen cabinets arrived a few weeks ago and I had to giggle, my grandfather was home when the big truck arrived and of course, he had to give the delivery guy an ear full about his car got evicted from the garage so the new cabinets could be stored.

Seriously gramp, like the delivery guy cares? I swear, I probably gave him 10 dirty looks before he left and went back inside the house. As you can see above, he is crabby. If you look closely, you will see he doesn’t have his teeth in either. haha. I hates when take pictures of him with no teeth.

The delivery guys were so funny. They kept watching my grandfather out of the corner of their eyes and then looked at me and smurked.

I made my grandfather pose for a picture telling him that I wanted to remind him in a few weeks about how cranky he was when the cabinets arrived.

I told him this picture speaks volumes. My grandmother was inside telling him to get inside and leave us alone. Carlos, one of the delivery guys was a trouper and won my grandfather over in the end. Carlos got a little smile from him as he left ;).

I am working directly with Masterbrand and their design team on this kitchen renovation project and I am so impressed. Yes, this is a sponsored series but I would never say I loved working with a team of people if I didn’t. They sent out someone to measure and then we created the design plan from there. We worked back and forth via email and after a week or so of tweaks, the cabinets were ordered and they arrived 10 days later. Such a quick turn-around! Stay tuned, the kitchen demo starts in a few days!

Disclosure: Our DIY kitchen renovation series is sponsored by MasterBrand Cabinets. I did receive complimentary product however, all opinions and words are 100% my own.
