We just got back a couple days ago from vacationing in Cape Cod with my parents, brother, sister-in-law and my niece.
I know some of you are thinking, geez, you live with your parents and vacation with them as well? Well, the built in baby sitter thing is pretty nice and thankfully, we are all really good at doing our own thing. My parents rented the house and we all just make our own plans and meet up later for dinner. Free house on the Cape + free babysitter = much happiness in my book! All kidding aside, my parents rock and I am sooooo lucky to have them :).
While we were there, my husband and I celebrated our 7 year wedding anniversary.
Most of time, we both feel like this,
That about sums it up 🙂 hehe. Just kidding kind of. We had a blast going to the beach everyday, eating way to much seafood and ice cream, go-karting sometimes twice a day, and window shopping. Now it’s back to reality. Ahhh, I think I need a vacation from the vacation. Do you ever feel like that?
Meet Jessica
What started as a hobby, Jessica’s blog now has millions of people visit yearly and while many of the projects and posts look and sound perfect, life hasn’t always been easy. Read Jessica’s story and how overcoming death, divorce and dementia was one of her biggest life lessons to date.
Oh, how fun Jessica! We haven’t had a vacation in AGES, but I remember that feeling well. 🙂 And yep, if we do go anywhere, it tends to be with my parents as well; the kid help is VERY nice!! Glad you had a great time!
Thanks Jennifer!
Oh wow! It sounds as if a GREAT time was had! WONDERFUL! I never vacationed with my parents, but the kids and I used to go to my parents and we called that our vacation. Having a good time is the important thing… and… if you aren’t tired (exhausted) when you get back… then you didn’t do something right! LOL
I know, I’m always exhausted when I come home from vaca 🙂
Love the pictures to commemorate your anniversary – so sweet/funny! Wishing you both many happy years ahead!!
Thank you Lisa! Wasn’t the weather insane today? It was actually to hot to stay at the pool all day!
Happy Anniversary! At least you’re real about it 🙂
Ha, thankyou Maury!
Living with family can be such a challenge and still be the best thing in the world. My husband and I live within a mile of two of our daughters and their families, my parents, my husbands parents, my aunt and uncle, my husbands aunt and uncle, and one of my cousins (who is just moving into the home that was my grandparents). We pretty much have the whole neighborhood to ourselves.
I love that you get to vacation with your family. Those are memories that will stay with you forever.
I agree kIm:) That is so cool that you have the entire neighborhood with family. How fun huh? Thanks for stopping by!
Sounds like a fun trip! Happy Anniversary! You two are adorable! 🙂
Thank you Ashley!
So glad you had a wonderful vacation down the cape.
Thanks Danielle! Did you get this response? My comment thingy is giving me issues, can you email me back if you got this?
