Today I am sharing our master bedroom Christmas makeover progress. A total last minute, shoot myself kind of moment. You know, when you get something in your head and then run with it? Last week I mentioned on our facebook page that I found some amazing Christmas bedding but the deep navy walls in our bedroom clashed with it. I stood in the bedding isle at HomeGoods for about 30 minutes trying to figure out how I could make the navy walls work. After getting aggravated with myself for wasting 30 minutes (I was suppose to only be in there for 5 minutes to return something) I bought the bedding and drove home and painted the walls white.

Here is the master bedroom before.

Yep, when you find affordable fun Christmas bedding, you don’t let a little thing like the wrong wall color stop you from buying it.-ha

Look who is looking at the bags in the door.

This is what you do when you don’t have anyone to help you move the bed (other than my little guy taking the picture), you paint around the headboard.

My husband came home after work and found the bedroom almost empty and white. He said, “what the heck happened to the bedroom?”

Remind me to never paint over navy on a whim. This took 3 coats!

Stay tuned, I will be sharing our master bedroom Christmas makeover soon! Oh and be sure to check out yesterday’s post, I am sharing where to buy and how you can get the look of our red and white Christmas rooms from last year. 1. Oh my gosh I cannot wait to see it!! You are so darn cute and fun! You need to buy a set of “moving men” they are little plastic discs and once you get them under the legs of something you literally could push a refrigerator around your kitchen!!! Don’t ask it is a long story!!!!

You are amazing, the kind of person I would LOVE to be like…nothing gets in your way! I cannot wait to see the reveal. TFS holiday excitement.

  3. Oh honey, let me tell you something. That ‘sickness’ you have that causes hubby to come home asking “what happened here!!??”

It doesn’t go away!!!! I’m 73 and I STILL do it that way! I’ve painted around couches I couldn’t move, king size beds, huge chests, etc. You name it. My hubby rolls his eyes and he doesn’t even want to know anymore. Ha Ha.

A kindred spirit you are – we get that idea and we just DO IT!

    1. haha you just made me bust out laughing 🙂 You are so sweet! Glad I am not the only one out there that does stuff like this. Have a great night Linda!

Because you are in the know for Home Goods, can you tell me which one locally do you think is the largest with the most inventory? I saw the pillows you got last week, but had no clue there was bedding too. The plaid looks a lot like Pottery Barn’s Cambridge pattern. I am very local to Plainville, Lincoln, RI and Milford, but won’t hesitate to venture over into the Blackstone Valley. I went to Sutton Elementary for grades 1-5!

    1. Oh that is great about Sutton! I got the Christmas bedding in the Framingham Homegoods 🙂 I was just in Milford HG today and Westborough and did see the shams (but no duvet) in Milford. I frequent the Milford, Framingham and Westborough stores often. Try out Framingham!
