Happy Mother’s Day + Pergola Love

Happy Mother’s Day! We are spending a quiet day at home and then heading out to the local nursery later today  to purchase some annuals. It’s been a tradition for the past ten years that my mom and I do together along with my son. My grandmother isn’t that mobile so we usually bring her home a few annuals for her window boxes and deck space. It’s a bit overcast today so hopefully it clears up!

This week I’ve had pergola’s on my mind and thought I would share a little pergola love with you.

What I love about pergola’s is that they can either be stand alone or attached to a structure. Such a simple way to add an extension to your home or create a pretty outdoor room in a garden or near a pool. Many home improvement stores sell pergola’s that can be assembled or if you are handy, you could make one yourself. I have been trying to convince my dad that our back patio would be a perfect place to add one but that idea hasn’t resinated in his head yet. My mom and I are working on him.
