Happy National Grandparents Day! I love that there is a designated day to celebrate grandparents, mine have been instrumental in my life and I love that my son gets to have the same experience by living with his great grandparents and grandparents. A few months ago I shared that I was working on a makeover for my grandparents small porch. I didn’t get it done in time for summer but that’s ok, my gram said it was too hot to be outside. ha. This past weekend, I added some mums and pumpkins and created a fall porch makeover that she loved. Doesn’t it look cute?

My grandmother’s summer flowers are still in full bloom and provide a gorgeous backdrop for the pumpkins and mums. We also added a fresh coat of Waterborne deck stain compliments of Sherwin- Williams to the thirsty wood.

The table is one that I have had since the first house I purchased after college. I can’t believe this set is still around. I spray painted the table and chairs black and it’s amazing how great it turned out. It’s looks fabulous! The rug adds the perfect pop of color which is perfect for summer or fall.

They spent some time out on their porch once I got everything set up and it was good to see my gram outside. She tends to be a homebody and we keep telling her that fresh air is good. She was pretty excited about her new spot and told my grandfather he better behave or he wouldn’t be allowed to sit out there with her. I don’t know about them!

Disclosure: The rug and pillows are compliments of Birch Lane. The stain was provided by Sherwin-Williams.
