Have you ever heard of Groupon? Groupon is a deal-of-the-day website that features discounted gift certificates usable at local or national companies. Groupon recently contacted us to see if we wanted to help spread the word about Buy a meal and helping America find its next favorite meal. They’re inviting everyone to share a picture of the best dish they’ve ever had at a restaurant for a chance to win $100 Groupon Bucks to spend during the Taste of Groupon – a collection of restaurants offering the best of breakfast, lunch and dinner. For every meal purchased, Groupon will donate one meal to Feeding America. I had never used a groupon voucher before so this was a first for me!

Let me give you a quick scenario of how Groupon works. Once on the Groupon website, search for your favorite restaurant (or whatever you are looking for) or search by location. You will need to create an account if you do not already have one.

Once you find what you are looking for in your area, click to view the deals for that particular business.

Choose which deal you want and click buy. That is it! You will print out your voucher (or use the app on your phone) and simply give the voucher to the restaurant/business. Think of it like a very “large” savings coupon.

We love Mexican food and the girls were especially excited for enchiladas. All three of us always order the same exact thing ;).
