Ever wonder what it would be like to live with 4 generations?

I had someone email me and ask , “do you really live with your parents & grandparents?” I had to laugh because it’s been almost 3 years since we moved to what we lovingly call “our little compound” (my parents home) and it has become our normal. Although, things really got interesting 6 months ago when my grandparents (my dads parents) joined in the mix! Some of you may know my barn door post about my other gram (my mom’s mom) she also lived with us up until recently when she passed away at 92! She was the best I thought I would do some random posts here and there, about my family and what the heck goes on around here! I added some new pictures on my “meet Jessica” page so check them out! We are all there!
Tonight, I’ll introduce my gramp, Big Fred.
My day today was a typical day. I was working on a project …..making some curtains for my dining room!
As I’m sewing away, I hear screams from outside….it’s my grandfather screaming my name off his deck (he & my gram live above the garage)! I went outside, he was on his deck, & he’s in a panic. I’m like, “what is wrong with you?” He was having a fight with the shower curtain rod & it was getting the best of him! Apparently it fell on him while he was showering & he couldn’t fix it. Yup, I fixed it & went back to sewing. Just a typical day in the “neighborhood”! The little tidbit that was the “treasure” in this was after I was done helping him, he gave me a big hug and said “ I love ya kid” You do drive me crazy sometimes gramps but I love ya to!

Meet Jessica
What started as a hobby, Jessica’s blog now has millions of people visit yearly and while many of the projects and posts look and sound perfect, life hasn’t always been easy. Read Jessica’s story and how overcoming death, divorce and dementia was one of her biggest life lessons to date.
Love it, Jessica! I've not lived anywhere near my family since I graduated high school almost 25 years ago. You are so fortunate! I love reading about all of you!
Thanks Lori!
Too funny…and cute. Sorry to hear of your grandmother passing. I am sure it helps your gramps a lot to have family right there with him.
That is amazing, what a lucky family! Can you even imagine all the wonderful memories your son will treasure from of his childhood?! Love your description of the crew, too!
Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
How fun! And cute fabric! Just started following love what you have on your blog 🙂
