DIY wall projects for your home can vary from a board and batten wall treatment, wallpaper, tiling, fabric covered canvas, wood and various wainscoting designs. I have put together a few DIY wall projects that we have installed here in our home as well as the corresponding tutorial in case you are feeling motivated to tackle your own walls in your home.
We added 3/4 high wide pine planks to our family room wall to add architectural interest and cozy up a rather large room.
Below, we added architectural molding/wainscoting to our guest bathroom by using MDF and creating a square pattern on the wall.

In our dining room , we added a 3/4 high board and batten to the walls. We have a board and batten tutorial that you can follow if you love this look.

Our multipurpose mudroom also has a 3/4 high board and batten wall treatment. We used the same method of adding board and batten below as we did in our dining room.

If you love the look of a tiled wall, we recently installed glass mosaic tile around our shower and continued along the wall around the closet area. Our mosaic wall tiling tutorial can be used in a bathroom, kitchen or any wall for that matter.

Here is a shot of the other side of the wall with glass shelving. Adding shelving is an quick and easy DIY wall project.
Last summer, our kitchen got a complete overhaul. The cabinets were painted white and we added a blue glass subway tile back splash. Adding subway tiles to your kitchen back splash or bathroom wall is another fabulous wall project for a bare wall.
