We are looking forward to relaxing at the lake this 4th of July weekend and hanging out on the boat. The lake our campsite is on tends to get really busy on holiday weekends so hoping to sneak in some boat time before it gets too crazy. I am not a fan of being out on the boat on holiday weekends especially during the day. I am a safety freak and I get nervous when the lake gets congested with people celebrating the holiday. My husband, who works non stop, actually took the long weekend off so not sure what we will do with him around all weekend.-ha.
Are you heading to a 4th of July party? Last year we threw a 4th party and this year, I am excited to “go” to a party. Parties are a lot of work and I am happy this year to hang out on the lake and attend friends parties. Feeling kind of lazy this summer. -ha
If you are throwing a 4th of July party or heading to family or friends, be sure to checkout these 30 Fourth of July party ideas we put together. I love the red, white and blue dessert ideas. I am thinking about making red and blue jello shots with a small dollop of cool-whip on top. I know just the friends party to bring those too :). Our camp is finally seeing a few less gypsy moth caterpillars so I plan to pick up a few plants and hang the string lights inside our pop up tents on the deck. We haven’t been able to sit outside for most of June because of the pesky little critters so it’s time to get out the camp decorations and enjoy the month of July. Cheers to “red, white and blue!”

Ooooh, this sounds like a great way to spend the holiday weekend! I hope they have a fireworks show because that is one of my favorite scenes from the movie with Michael J Fox and he is a doctor. Someone gives him a pig as payment for services, lol. Through the entire movie all he is trying to do is get out of this tiny country area. It may be called Doc Hollywood or Doc Holiday. If you haven’t seen it the entire family would enjoy. Have a joyful, blessed and safe 4th, 2016. TFS
Hope you had a great holiday too Juanita!!
