Thank you for all your sweet comments about my grandfather and our decision to place him in a nursing home. I have hundreds of comments and emails to return to all of you and just haven’t had two seconds to respond but please know we are so appreciative of your support and we have read EVERY SINGLE email and comment on the blog and social media ;). He is doing pretty good all things considered. Stay tuned, I have a post I have been working on for three days to share more details. Today we are talking about Top Home Improvement Projects sponsored by Sears Home Services,  that have huge return on investment.  Being a home owner can pose some challenges but can also be a rewarding experience as well. Many times the things that we can update now or improve in our home, will provide long term benefits down the road. One thing that I have learned through the years of being a home owner and having my real estate license, it’s never a bad thing to invest in your home and capitalize on long term benefits of home improvement.

You may know that we have partnered with Sears Home Services this summer to share a bunch of fun topics that relate to improving your home to projects that can increase the value of your home. Last month we shared the importance of maintaining your HVAC system and ensuring it was ready for Summer.  Today we are talking about home improvement projects that will bring big bang for your buck long term as well as home improvement offers available this Summer.

One particular home improvement project that definitely will build value in your home is a kitchen remodel. If you have been following us for a while, you know that we completely gutted our kitchen and put in new cabinets, flooring and lighting almost two summers ago. Top Home Improvement Projects

Not only do you get to enjoy the home improvement projects, you are building equity in your home.  Another recent project that we did to improve our home was to update our front and side exterior doors. Not only were our old doors outdated, they were not energy efficient.  Below, you can see the new foyer entrance doors that we added and while they are beautiful, they are energy efficient and added tremendous value to our home. They boosted the curb appeal and don’t let the snow drift in! -ha.

Your home is fabulous, the kitchen is super wonderful. I LOVE the foyer doors, their lock and handle and the color. The articles were very helpful in many aspects, the most interesting thing I discovered is how and when to buy or replace an appliance. TFS
I tried to comment on the post about you Grandpa, I got tired trying to get to the comment section. So, here it is: I had a heavy heart, knot in my stomach and tears. I know how gut wrenching this decision was for all of you. With God in your life and belief in your heart He will get you through this. My prayer’s are being said for everyone in you family to find comfort through the Lord. All the best and TFS. You do not have to respond to this because I know you must have at least a half-million, no pressure. Warm Hugs to all.
