Yesterday I shared our progress on our fireplace makeover and today, I am sharing the top 8 fireplace mantle ideas that finally convinced my dad that we could do this project. Like I said yesterday, my dad is a visual person so he is more inclined to say “yay or nay” if he can see the final product.

Here is my dad looking at the Better Homes and Gardens inspiration picture. I am not lying that this picture caused four or five fights between us. I wanted the columns and he swore we couldn’t do it. I showed him this picture probably 50 times while we were working. Guess what, the columns won! 🙂

Here is the culprit. My dad would be happy if he never saw this picture again.
