Isn’t summer the best? It’s my favorite time of year (except for Christmas) and being outdoors with friends and family is so much fun. Summer outdoor entertaining doesn’t need to be overwhelming, in fact, it should be very easy and quick. Whether you have a patio, deck, porch or a free space of lawn, setting up a cute table can be done just about anywhere. A few weeks ago we celebrated a birthday out on my mom’s patio and is was wonderful to be outdoors, enjoying the fresh air.
I love outdoor melamine dishware. Not only is it durable and won’t break, it’s gorgeous! I found all of these dishes, bowls and serving platters at HomeGoods.
I love to mix and match patterns. I chose blue and green for this tablescape and mixed in a bit of red and orange to add a fun pop of color.
What I love about creating an outdoor table for a birthday celebration is that you can use bows and tissue paper as part of your decorations. Feel free to use tabletop length balloons as well for a centerpiece. I chose to hang my balloons from the umbrella and use flowers as the centerpiece but either way, the addition of balloons, flowers and decorative bows is a sure way to add a celebrational flare to any tabletop. The birthday party was a hit and everyone enjoyed themselves, including me who is usually running around chasing the kids!
Disclosure: I was provided with Gift Cards from HomeGoods. Thanks HOmeGoods! 😉
