Our mudroom wall unit that we created over a year ago has been a blessing in keeping our coats and shoes organized. Unfortunately, our home lacks in closet space so the coats would continually pile up on a chair near our side entrance. This mudroom wall, loaded with coat hooks and a DIY shoe storage box, got a pretty new makeover recently sporting new spring colors compliments of Procter and Gamble and Home Depot.
Seriously, I love this springy space! A big difference from the pile up of coats from winter.
Good riddance winter!
I headed to The Home Depot and picked up my cleaning supplies and some new paint. Don’t be afraid to add a pop of color to one element in your space. The tangerine color that I added to the lid of the shoe box was just enough color to add a wow factor to the wall.
First, I started by removing all of the winter coats and boots storing them in our basement closet. Once everything was removed I cleaned the shoe storage box out with Mr. Clean with Febreez and bounty paper towels. Nothing better than a clean smelling shoe box! ha.
Easy.
It’s amazing what a little cleaner, water and elbow grease will do for a space.
In about one hour, this box was cleaned out and freshened up.
After a coat of white paint and tangerine for the top, the shoe box is ready for spring!
Orange is one of my favorite colors and it coordinates with just about every other color (in my mind) so I thought it fitting for this wall space.
Ahhhh, sunglasses and a pretty blue purse. It was a happy day making over this wall space.

I am so happy to be done with winter and even more happy that our spring mudroom wall area is clean and decluttered. The pop of orange is just what the space needed to liven it up for spring. We are moving into a new house. It needs a bit more updating than what we are hiring done. Likely some more paint or organizational items.

I would love to win the card, and buy some plants! Beautiful spring colors for planting in pots for my front porch. That would bring the springtime to me!
