Thank you for the sweet emails about my leather leggings post! You all know how to make this momma smile 🙂 Today we are chatting about this plaid down vest and hunter boots. Two pieces every woman should have!

Is this bad that my clothing is kind of the same as my home decor?

Don’t laugh but my brain is pretty simple and when I see a pattern or color I love, I tend to buy everything in that color or pattern.

This down vest from Lands’End is from last winter and is one of my favorite things to wear.

So much so that I have a red version too.

Hunter Boots are perfect year round. They are rubber and great for inclement weather in the Spring and Fall. You can dress them up or dress them down. They are pretty good like that ;). They even make them for little kids!

I got these last year and wore them everyday in December.-ha. They are great for the holidays.

The best thing about these boots is you can buy Welly Socks (made by Hunter) to go inside the boots.

They make all kinds of colors and patterns and they fold over the top of the boot. These are all from Nordstrom. You can’t go wrong with free shipping and returns.

I have linked up some alternatives below if you love the idea of a vest but are not a big fan of mine. Plaid comes in so many different colors!

The boots keep your feet warm and they look amazing! These are just a few of the options. They have striped and fun colors too. 1. Omgosh, that looks amazing on you, but there is no amount of money could get me to wear red boots but I’m old and conservative????

  2. I think you may be approached any day now to start your modeling career. We’ll start looking for you soon in magazines! That’s a darling outfit, maybe not for me here in Florida. I love Landsend too. Things are made so well. You rock those red boots!?

    1. haha Nancy I don’t know about that one! Thank you for your kind words and try out some boots! You might like them 🙂

You do look better than most of the models seen in the ads these days. Perhaps it’s because I “know” the sweet, down to earth person modeling. Leather leggings, plaid vests, red boots, why not? Make yourself happy; it’s pure happiness just seeing you. ( Of course I loved seeing you ripping out decks, redoing fire place, painting, an caring for the generations in your life.)

    1. aww thanks Carolyn for your kind words! I am still ripping out decks and a painting machine lol. Although, this fashion thing is kinda fun! Have a great night and thank you again for stopping by!

  4. Didn’t I read this yesterday? Deja vu?
