Our Orange Harvest Front Door Decked out for Fall

Our Orange Harvest Front Door is about to get drenched with rain! 🙁 Yep, we are about to get rain here in Mass so I just brought in some of decorations and put the mums under cover so they don’t get squished by the heavy rain. A couple weeks ago, our front door got a makeover for Fall. Labor Day marks the change of season in my brain and that’s when my mom and I get excited to shop for mums and pumpkins.
Here is the before:
Here is a picture I shared on our Instagram Stories (do you follow us on instagram?) of my truck loaded with Fall plants. My dad helped us unload and he was like, “what are you doing with all this stuff?” My mom said, “we are getting ready for Fall!” He didn’t respond. -ha.
If you want to see exactly how I created this look, head over to the HomeGoods blog where I am sharing how to get this look. All the planters, plant stands, wreath and decorative FAll accents are from HomeGoods. I am loving our Harvest Front Door and so glad we got this project done early. Sometimes when school starts, life gets super hectic and before I know it, it’s time to shop for Christmas and FAll is over. On another note, my grandfather turned 88 years old this past weekend and we had a birthday party for him at the Nursing Home. He was on his best behavior and wasn’t grumpy at all. Well, how could he be? He was getting cake, ice cream and presents! -ha. He likes when everything is all about him. -haha. My gram on the other hand , isn’t doing so well. I mean, she is hanging in there but seems depressed and always so tired. Just taking it all a day at a time and trying to make her existence at the Nursing Home, the best it can be given the circumstances. It’s so hard to see her confined to a wheelchair and literally not able to do anything for herself. Not a very good quality of life that’s for sure. I will share more on that later this week. In the meantime, have fun decorating your front door for Fall and if you are about to get a day of rain like we are, stay dry!
Disclosure: I was compensated by HomeGoods to decorate our front door as part of their blogger program on their Design Happy Blog

Where is Mass. do you live? I used to live there years ago. Fall is such a pretty time there!
I think of your dear grandparents often and I’m saying a prayer right now.
Thank you 🙂
Hi Jessica; I am so excited by your post celebrating the wonderful season of Fall. It is my favorite season. Everything looks beautiful, you and your mom are a great team! On my monitor the new color looks like light yellow. I, personally, LOVE the first orange color because I like doors that make a statement. I am still praying for the family and wishing you peace. TFS.
I adore your beautiful fall porch. All the beautiful bright fall colors are so fabulous. You nailed it!
Thank you!!
