Hey guys today is our third Wednesday Wardrobe sharing How to Look Good in Sweatpants and I am actually sharing it on a Wednesday! -ha. I am trying to stay organized. It’s proving difficult as we are all sick in our house (me included) with nasty colds. I am guilty of wearing sweatpants over 1/2 of the week. Whether they are leggings style, baggie or fitted, they are on my body 50% of the week. One thing that is for sure though, I do my best to not look slouchy or like a slob. Sometimes sweatpants can dictate a lazy look but that does not necessarily need to be the case. As a heads up this post contains affiliate links in case you want to buy anything. The brand Make & Model at Nordstrom is one of my favorite for loungewear as it’s affordable, cute and well made. The brand carries a variety of sizes and has many different styles to choose from. They usually have coordinating outfits too so it takes the guess work out of it.
These pictures are not the best quality as I snapped them quickly with my cell phone during a mad dash to try on all my Christmas gifts.
You will get the idea though, you really can look good in sweatpants!
I always tuck my tee (or light weight top) to the side to avoid that baggie shirt look that hangs over your butt. A quick side tuck gives a more fitted look and tends to gather the top from the sides.
I love the velour sweatpants and tops that are out this season. Not only are they super comfy but they look good too. I tend to wear my UGG boots ( I feel like Chestnut color goes with everything – these are on sale) or short snow boots and just tuck the sweatpants inside. We live in Mass so sneakers tend to get wet, gross and nasty in the snow.

This was actually my Christmas Pajama outfit this year. I picked it up prior to Christmas after Thanksgiving on sale and the Team Santa is my favorite. I will wear this top for years to come around the holidays and it’s the perfect compliment to any red sweatpants. I love slipper socks (in image above) as I am short and sometimes sweatpants are too long on me so I just tuck them inside my slipper socks or boots. Nordstrom has a bunch on sale and I love these from Amazon. Another thing I LOVE use as slippers are my Hunter Boot Wellies. If you have rain boots that have slipper inserts, use them as slippers around the house!
Make & Model always have cute sayings like this one below, “Give me A Break” on their sweatshirts.

My Son picked out this Nike Outfit for me for Christmas and I love it. It’s comfortable, fitted and the perfect outfit for a casual day around the house or doing errands. If I went to a gym, it would be great …..-ha. BUT I am not a fan of working out although I am still trying to keep up with my daily walking routine which is proving difficult with the freezing temperatures we are having.

I bought these high waisted leggings by Zella last year and they are by far, my favorite leggings ever. They suck in EVERYTHING and are so comfortable. Paired with a fleece coat and fitted camisole for $12 (I am always hot) or t-shirt, you’ll have a great looking outfit. My black Knee High Uggs add a casual and fun look instead of sneakers.

Sweatpants always get a bad wrap and I can see why on some occasions. -ha. Do your hair, put on some makeup and try a couple of these tips and sweatpants can be your best friend. The weather here in Mass makes me want to never get out of bed and sometimes taking the extra time to put on my face and pay attention to what I am wearing, makes me feel so much better. I don’t know if that makes sense but for me, it works. Stay tuned, the rollercoaster of a ride on our house sale is in full swing and guys, this situation has been one of the craziest ever. Yes the house is back on the market but I am not sure for how much longer. Say a prayer lol….we are hoping things get sorted out soon!

Hi Jessica,
Thanks for sharing all your cute sweatpant outfits. You look great in all of them.
What is the lipstick you are wearing in the velour sweatsuit shot? I love it!
Thanks, Kathy
Your son did a great job picking out that sweatpant outfit for you! I like wearing sweatpants too and wear them just about every day. I try to wear them with a nicer shirt, rather than just a baggy t-shirt, like you mentioned. I like your tip about tucking the t-shirt in on the sides though, for the days I wear that.
Thanks Brenda! I am always trying to make sweats look good! ha.
Yeah right, for me, if I had a body like your, then and only then will I look great in cloths like these. Thanks for the post. You look hot girl. Happy 2018
lol you are funny! Try dressing up your sweats, you might be surprised 🙂
