Good morning friends.  I am a little behind on updating the blog this past week. Easter was great until the stomach bug hit our house late that night. My son and grandfather are/were down for the count and needless to say, we always worry when one of my grandparents get sick. They don’t recover as quickly. I found my grandfather yesterday sitting in his chair staring at the ceiling. He looked kind of funny with no teeth and so subdued.  I told him the same thing I told my 9 year old, you either drink this ginger ale or you will end up in the hospital for dehydration. He reluctantly agreed and later, my grandmother told me he followed my orders. haha

stomach bug + police station makeover

Last week I finished helping my friend Jake from Paramount Woodworking, make the kitchen cabinets for the Police Station makeover and today we are hoping to install them. Later this week I will be making the shelf tops for the filing cabinets and hopefully getting them installed this weekend. What turned out to be a tiny mini makeover, turned into a monster makeover.  I think it’s going to look great though. If anything, it will be a huge improvement over what they had. Stay tuned, I will be sharing the gutting of the police station and the new paint color this weekend on the blog.

My prayers are with you and your family. I would like to see that stomach bug go away quickly. I am glad you had a nice Easter, mine was very quiet. These are the times I miss my mom most of all…we always had special dinners but, due to my health, I can’t prepare meals and that makes things worse. One thing I do know is that I am blessed abundantly and I am grateful for that. I could always be worse. TFS.
