I am not sure what the weather has been like where you live but we have had 90 – 100 degree days for the last week and it’s not letting up anytime soon. A few days ago I made a delicious pineapple parfait using Hood® Cottage Cheese. Hood® is a New England based company and they recently reached out to us to feature their Hood® Cottage Cheese with Pineapple Added. It was perfect timing! A refreshing parfait on a warm summer day is amazing.

This pineapple parfait recipe is so easy.

Pretty simple right?
One thing that I love about Hood® Cottage Cheese with Pineapple Added, is that it now has more pineapple taste and provides a sweet snack or meal option that is also a good source of protein and calcium. So you are getting a healthy snack that is also good for you. You don’t have to mix in the extra ingredients such as the whip cream and chocolate, but I am here to tell you that even the kids loved this recipe. The Hood® Cottage Cheese with Pineapple Added alone is delicious but once you start mixing it with other fruits and a little whip cream, you have yourself a really fun snack. Hey, I gotta do whatever I can to get the kids to eat fruit!
You can pick up this Hood® Cottage Cheese with Pineapple Added in dairy cases throughout the Northeast. It also comes in two sizes, 16 and 24 ounce containers. This cottage cheese would also be perfect on a bed of lettuce or even in a smoothie. Being from New England myself, I love to feature “home” based brands. Hood is the number-one dairy brand in New England and also offers eight other flavors including Chive, Cucumber and Dill, Garden Vegetables, Chive & Toasted Onion, Peaches, Pineapple & Cherry, Honey & Pear and Maple & Vanilla. I personally want to try out the Cucumber & Dill too, I bet it would be perfect paired with a crispy cracker.
