Our ABC news “feature” didn’t air last night but is scheduled for tonight instead.  So please tune in or DVR, “ABC World News with Diane Sawyer” tonight! Check your time zone for airing schedule, it airs here EST @ 6:30pm.  *update since this posted: The feature didn’t run tonight. I was notified by ABC that it WILL run next week……I should hopefully find out Monday.

First, let me start by saying thank you to all of you for the kind words and well wishes over the past couple days! It’s pretty exciting to have ABC News come hang out with you for the day but sharing with all of you and the added excitement you have all created makes it that much better! So thank you Smile !
ABC.com featured an article on their website about us! The article, Multigenerational Families and how they make it work , was posted yesterday on abc.com! My stomach flipped 10x I think when the producer from ABC sent me the link!

In the last 48 hours:

My cute little man keeps looking in the TV wondering how he got in the TV (he saw our commercial/promo spot on news with Diane Sawyer),

My 82 year old grandfather trying to figure out how the article got in the computer! He said, “what is the internet? on that computer thing you have?”,

Lastly, my dad said to me Wednesday night, after the ABC News camera crew left,“Hey Jess, where and what is this blog thing you have?!!!” I said, “Dad, you know what it is, the website I told you I created.”  My dad’s response, “you mean that thing you take pictures for? Where is it?” This is coming from the man that has a “bat” cell phone from 400 years ago, no atm card & doesn’t know how to work his computer at work! My cute little daddy !Smile

Hello from a 4generationhouse(..and when the Grandson comes to visit, we have 5!) on the West Coast! We were all sitting down to dinner last night when the promo for your segment came on. We all looked around the table at each other and said "they're talking about us!" lol

It's been about 6 years now that we've lived together, and like your family.. love it*. Gram gets the 24 hour care she needs, and the rest of us who were struggling so hard separately now work together to keep the roof on and the table full. We've reconnected after years of living in different states so it seems extra special to us.

We look forward to the broadcast, and hearing from other families that have chosen our 'alternative' lifestyle. 🙂

*the first year was ROUGH! there were personality clashes, disagreements about 'stuff' like where to put it all! :O Once we got a handle on Gram's meds for the mood swings, everything has evened out.

  2. @anonymous poster: Thank you so much for your kind words and how awesome you all live together! I tried to email you back but there was no email provided so hopefully you check back in here and see my response 🙂 That is funny about your Gram and meds! Keep in touch! Leave your email 2 🙂

  3. The article is awesome and I can't wait to see the episode tonight! I'll definitely be looking for you!!!
