Everyone loves grilled cheese right? Today, I wanted to share with you a quick 10 minute grilled cheese with apricot recipe as part of Laura’s 10 minute series over at Finding Home Farms. With a couple extra ingredients, you can make boring grilled cheese, gourmet grilled cheese :). I happened to be in the grocery store yesterday looking for chutney and a sweet lady who reminded me of my gram, told me that apricot is delicious in grilled cheese. I thought she was crazy but turns out, she was so right!
Simply butter 2 slices of sourdough bread (both sides).
Layer strips of cheddar and muenster cheese and fill middle with a tablespoon +/- with apricot preserves.
Cook in a skillet on medium/low heat for 5 minutes flipping two or three times.
Cook until cheese is melted.
Looks pretty yummy right?
I had all I could do to not eat this before I needed to take pictures of it. The apricot tastes amazing with the cheese and sourdough bread. Who would have thought a grilled cheese could be so fancy!
