Instructions : Step by Step
Measure the Wall: Measure the height and width of the wall where you want to install the board and batten.
Choose Your Boards: Choose the type of board you want to use. You can use wood boards or MDF.
Cut the Boards: Cut the boards to the desired length using a saw.
Install the Boards: Install the boards vertically onto the wall, leaving space between each board.
Install the Battens: Install horizontal battens over the seams where the boards meet. Nail the battens to the wall, making sure they are level.
Fill Holes: Fill nail holes with wood filler and sand smooth.
Paint or Stain: Paint or stain the wall to your desired finish.
Tips
Use a stud finder to locate and mark the studs on the wall before installation.
Use a level to ensure your boards are installed straight.
