Welcome to Four Generations One Roof LLC!

homegoods blogger event behind the scenes

Updated February 2018

Jessica shares her unique multigenerational living arrangement, which started in 2008. Jessica is a regular busy mom, who helps others bring affordable style to their home and teaches the art of layering a room.  Jess is a regular, busy mom who always had a passion for making her home comfortable, stylish and always done on a budget. In addition to her love for DIY and decorating, Jess teaches others how to live a healthy lifestyle and how she lost the “baby weight” and gained back her energy with an amazing nutritional system that was a game game changer for her and her family in mid 2018. In true “Jess fashion” she started sharing her results and how amazing she felt and accidently fell into an opportunity to earn a side income to help support her family. She now helps other moms who felt the same way she did, get their body and mind back while also teaching them how to make a side income. The concept of “Body Mind & Home” was born.
Prior to Jess starting her blog in 2011, she had no experience with social media and didn’t even have a Facebook account. Jessica is a self taught mom blogger who stumbled upon blogging while searching for Star Wars party ideas for her son’s 5th birthday party in 2011.

How It All Started

In 2008 Jessica and her family moved into her childhood home, owned by her parents.  The original plan was to stay for a short time while they looked for a new home but they never left. Within a couple years, Jessica’s grandparents (her dads parents) also moved in.

In 2011, Four Generations One Roof was born by accident which quickly became a popular spot for family, friends and new readers to visit on a daily basis. Jessica, her dad and grandfather, started renovating their home together and the blog became a popular hub for DIY interior design projects, DIY home renovations, room makeovers on a budget, family recipes and how to successfully live in a Multi-Gen Home while maintaining privacy, style and your sanity.

In 2018, a lot changed under the roof of Four Generations One Roof. Jessica’s grandmother passed away on the eve of Thanksgiving, 2017 and her grandfather became a permanent resident at a local Nursing Home near their home. Jessica’s grandfather has severe Dementia which left her family unable to care for him at home.

Jessica and her family have been featured in a variety of national publications, radio, print and online as well as magazine features. Jessica facilitates and works with a variety of sponsors as well as contractual relationships for brand ambassadorship. Jessica is currently a blogger for HomeGoods and a Better Homes and Gardens StyleMaker since 2013.
