With the Thanksgiving holiday quickly approaching, I decided to decorate our mantle with rustic decorative accessories that I had in other rooms to create a rustic fall theme. I am constantly moving around furniture and decor which drives my husband crazy. I did get a high five though for the newly decorated fall mantle. Our fireplace is finally finished and I will be sharing the reveal in the next couple days but today, I wanted to show you how easy it is to pull together a few fall items and transform your mantle.
I used a table runner to cover the top of the mantle, decorative rustic candle holders and candles to create a varying heights and gold metallic pumpkins that I received from Kirklands.
The wreath I had hanging in our foyer was the perfect size for our mantle and the burlap accents tied in with the rustic theme.
I read a tip a couple years ago in a decorating magazine and it was centered around staying in the same color family to create cohesive warm themed arrangements. I don’t remember where I read it or the other particulars of the article but I do remember the part about staying in the same color family. I’m not saying that you need to do that for every decorating project, I don’t, but when you are quickly looking for a way to spruce up a space, find items similar in color. Decorating this fall mantle took about 10 minutes. Quick and easy!
