Look what I found buried in the shed

When we moved a few years ago this was put in the shed….would you believe I forgot I had it!

Hutch top before

It’s a solid oak piece that is the top to a hutch. It’s in disgusting shape…smelly, rotted & holes in the back Sad smile I’m thinking of raising it (making a box for it to sit on), paint & what else….some barn doors! I’ve decided to turn this foyer into a functional mudroom. I’m thinking a “pottery barn” inspired locker unit with doors for coats. I have new plans for our  “barn door” creation! This was my dads response when I told him we needed to make more doors:

Have a great weekend!

That found piece looks like it has "possibilities". I think it would look great all spruced up. Your poor dad…he's probably thinking he's going to be called on to help. LOL
Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend and I'm waiting to see how your project turns out.

Oh my WORD I love your dad's face. :) Mirror's my hubbys when I have a new idea up my sleeve!!

just found you through Darlene; and I LOVE that you all live together like you do, btw. We lived with my parents for 3 years; now we live 2 doors down. The experience that my kiddos get to have; by knowing their grandparents so well; it's priceless!

Great idea for the cabinet! I'd love a mudroom, that looks like the perfect spot!
